There are two things I have always loved in life: travel and jewelry. And not diamonds and rubies, but the costume variety.
Starting in my early twenties, flea markets were a passion of mine. I went to many in Minnesota but loved them even more when traveling. I have a fairly large collection of costume jewelry and it is one of my prized possessions.
I am also a creative person. I like big, bold ideas. After a few years as a Creative Director at a large ad agency in Minneapolis, I quit my job at 28 years old and started my own ad agency: KC Truth.
It was the ride of a lifetime, full of high highs— and some low lows. I met so many incredible people and learned so much. It fed my entrepreneurial soul and it was FUN.
Last year, after 37 years of running my company, I sold my business. It was time for the next chapter. While traveling in London a few years ago, I came across an English medallion with Gemini (my zodiac sign) and thought it would be fun to wear. I also love the history and stories behind many of them.
